Watermelon Mojitos


You should make this for July 4th! So says Marmo. As a rare treat, I have transcribed the recipe directly from an email she sent me. I have changed nothing. Good luck. Aaaaaaand GO!

What You Need:

Mashed mint leaves.  About 30 large ones

3-4 thick slices of fresh watermelon  - put it in the food processor and puree it.

8 ounces of light rum

½ c of simple syrup ( 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water – boil the hell out of it until sugar is disolved)

Fresh squeezed lime juice – about 6 tablespoons.

Sprigs of mint to garnish.

What To Do:

Throw it all together, blend, drink. In that order.
